Placement

math solutions on a white paper

These assessments will determine if your student is ready for a course. Students who score below 60% should return to the previous level. Although a score above 60% is technically passing, students may not be ready for the next level unless they attain a passing score of 80% or more.

Review student answers to see if the errors were typographical or if they understand their mistakes. They may retake the assessment or take as many assessments as they like to find their proper placement.

Ultimately it is your decision for the student to enroll in a course, but the most success will be found when they have a good understanding of the previous level.
